Funeral services for Harper H. Chilton, 47, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday 
in the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home in Columbia with burial in 
Welcome Home Cemetery.

Mr. Chilton died Sunday afternoon in the Baptist Hospital in Alexandria 
after a short illness.

Survivors include his widow Mrs. Hazel C. Chilton, Jena; one son, Michael 
W. Chilton, Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. Delaine C. Connally, and Mrs. 
Suzanne C. Magee both of Leesville; one brother, Herman Chilton of 
Farmerville; five sisters, Mrs. Hattie Jordan, Rio Dell, Calif., Mrs. Hazel
Baker, Dubberly, Mrs. Helen Brown, Columbia, Mrs. Halsie Gathwright of 
Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Hildred Brown of Fr. Bragg, Calif.; and three 
grandchildren.
