Obituary:  Clifton King
January 16, 1985

Funeral services for Mr. Clifton King, age 56, of Hebert were held 
Tuesday, January 15, 2:00PM, at the Lone Cherry Baptist Church with
the Rev.'s Denver Smith and Doyle Adams officiating.  Burial followed
in the church cemetery, Mangham, under the direction of Riser & Son 
Funeral Home of Columbia.

Mr. King died Sunday, January 13, at his residence after a sudden illness.

Mr. King was a member of the Columbia Masonic Lodge No. 164 F&AM.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Ann Vance, Memphis, TN;
two brothers, James E. King, Hebert and Buford King, Lisbon Falls, Maine,
one sister, Mrs. Pearl Tolbert, Columbia; one granddaughter, Mrs. Rachel 
Vance, Memphis, TN.
