Don Boyett, Rev. Ricky Baker and Rev. Jerry McGee officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany Cemetery in Hebert. Mr. Clower was born in Monroe on June 6, 1949 and died Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at his residence in Hebert. He was a retired postal worker having worked over 35 years. He was also Secretary of the Northeast La. Postal Workers Union in Monroe. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War where he attained the rank of Sergeant. He was an active minister of the Christian Prison Outreach of Monroe. James was truly a man of God and a very active member of the Covenant Christian Worship Center in Columbia. Survivors include his wife: Janie McClanahan Clower of Hebert, his daughter and son-in-law: Brandi and Jeff King of Austin, TX, his son and daughter-in-law: Marty and Claudia Earnest of Hebert, his father and step-mother: James and Joyce Clower of Monroe, his mother: Lena Clower of Monroe, his brothers and sisters-in-law: Wayne and Sandra Clower of Monroe, Tommy and Judy Clower of West Monroe, his sister and brother-in-law: Barbara and Vernon Ford of West Monroe, his step-sister: Cynde Powell of Monroe, his grandchildren: Noah King, Cody Earnest and Matthew Holloway and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Darryl Luske, Steven Throckmorton, Bobby O’Jeda, Ron Berber, Berlon McClanahan and Doug George. Honorary pallbearers are Rev. Ernest Eubanks, Rev. Wayne James and the ministers of the Christian Prison Outreach of Monroe. Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of services at Covenant Christian Worship Center, Hwy 4 East, Columbia, LA
