Obituary:  Charles Alfred Strange
January 16, 1985

Funeral services for Charles Alfred Strange, age 64, of Columbia, were
held Saturday, January 12, 10:00AM, at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church
with the Rev.'s Jim Richmond and Lee Fitzgerald officiating.  Burial
followed in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery under the direction of Riser & Son
Funeral Home of Columbia.

Mr. Strange died Thursday, January 10, at his residence after a long 
illness.

Survivors include Father and Step-Mother, Joe & Laura Strange, Columbia;
Mother, Mrs. Bessie Bonwel, West Monroe; wife, Mrs. Dale Strange, Columbia;
three sons, Charles A. Strange, Columbia, Roy Dean Strange, Columbia, 
and Joseph Albert Strange, Columbia; three daughters, Mrs. Sharon
Griffin, Columbia, Mrs. Elizabeth Antley, Calhoun, and Miss Marsha Strange,
Columbia; five brothers, Mr. E. J. Strange, West Monroe, Mr. Eugene
Strange, Pensecola, Florida, Mr. Joe Strange, Jr., Columbia, Mr. Elmer 
Bonwel, Monroe, and Mr. Aaron Bonwel, Monroe; four sisters, Mrs. Laverne 
Kilby, Clifton, Virginia, Mrs. Leona Lott, Muscatain, Iowa, Mrs. Dorothy
Bellmore, Grayson, and Mrs. Sharon Robertson, West Monroe; four 
grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ricky Bassett, Richard Townsend, Mike Bassett, Kenneth
McGee, James Strange, and Melvin Strange.
