Obituary:   Elaine Nelson Gough
August 10, 2003

Services for Elaine Nelson Gough, age 80, of Olla will be held
at 3 p.m., Sunday, August 10, 2003 at the First United Methodist
Church in Olla with Rev. Nell McLemore and Rev. Curtis Carroll
officiating.  Interment will follow in the Olla Cemetery in Olla under
the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla.
    
Mrs. Gough was born in Urania on August 30, 1922 to the
union of Ira William and Emma Hart Nelson.   
    
Before her retirement, she was owner of Bruce Gough Pipeline 
Contractors and Elaine's Gift Barn.  She served several years                                                                                                                                                                                  
on the Olla Town Council and was a member of the First United
Methodist Church of Olla.
    
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband;
Bruce Gough and her grandson: Shannon Womack.
    
Survivors include her daughter: Sandra Hester of Olla, her
daughter and son-in-law: Rhonda and Sammy Elliott of Olla,
her grandchildren: Brooke Elliott of Grayson, Brett Hester and
his wife: Brandy of Olla and Kristen and Jacque Derr of Natchitoches, 
her great-grandchildren: Kade Bradford, Blake Hester, Bree Hester and 
Cole Derr, and her sister: Evelyn Fletcher of Beaumont, Texas.
    
Pallbearers will be Benny Gough, Gary Gough, Bill Hester, 
Denver McBroom, Gary Nelson and Mike Nelson.
    
Visitation will be Saturday from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday
from 8 a.m. until noon at Riser Funeral Home, Hwy 165, Olla and
from 1 p.m. until time of services at the church.
