Date: September 30, 1976 Headline: Ethel Claunch Funeral services for Mrs. Ehtel Lizenby Claunch, 79, of Clarks, were at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia with the rev. Johnny Young officiating. Burial was in Monroe Memorial park Cemtery for Mrs. Claunch who died Friday morning in Caldwell Memorial Hospital at Columbia after a brief illness. Survivors include one daughters, Mrs. Eunice Howard of Rayville; one son, Troy Lizenby of Rayville; one grandson and one great-grandson. Her husband was the late Cory Claunch. Pallbearers were Jimie Monk, Roff Ray, Elbert Pauley, Clyde Pauley, David Meredith and Buel Meredith. (NOTE: Ethel was the daughter of Norris Austin and Unknown Wife MCBROOM. She was born October 1896 and was previously married to William Fay Lizenby on July 17, 1911 in Richland Parish LA.)
