Obituary of Lonnie T. Evans

Funeral services for Lonnie T. Evans, 78, of Hebert, were at
3:30 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home of
Columbia with the Revs. J. C. Swinnea and Glenn Lowery officiating.

Burial was in Hebert Cemetery for Mr. Evans who died Sunday morning
in Caldwell Memorial Hospital at Columbia after a lengthy illness.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bertha Evans of Hebert; one son, 
Talmadge Evans of Monroe; three daughters, Mrs. Edna Stamper of 
Hebert, Mrs. Evelyn Noland of Clarks and Mrs. Margie Willis of Monroe;
two brothers, Willie Evans of Mangham and Alex Evans of Pine Bluff,
Arkansas; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Tarver of Epps and Mrs. Sally
Smith of Mangham; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
