Ed Smith officiating. Stanley Doffitt will deliver the euology. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Mr. Franklin was born in Olla on September 17, 1934 to the union of Cicero and Anna Christina Jeringan Franklin and died Sunday, August 8, 2004 at his residence in Clarks. He was a corrections officer with the Caldwell Parish Correctional Center. He also was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the Marines and a member of the Clarks Masonic Lodge #382. Survivors include his special companion: Sybil Ballard of Clarks, his sisters: Marselene F. Coleman of Hebert, Ruth F. Doffitt of Clarks, Shirley F. Harris of Jonesville, Carolyn F. Byrd of Clarks, Dorothy F. McCartney of Olla and Sue F. Simons of Natchitoches and numerous neices and nephews. Pallbearers will be Stanley Doffitt, Toby Esters, Ryan Ballard, Ray Ballard, Joe Clark and Tom Exline. Honorary pallbearers are his co-workers at the Caldwell Parish Sheriff's Office, his crew at the Caldwell Parish Correctional Center, the members of the Clarks Masonic Lodge #382, his brother-in-law: Ted Coleman and his friend, Glenn Barnhill.
