Cooksey November 8, 2003 Services for George M. Cooksey, age 79 of Columbia will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 8, 2003 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Billy Jones and Rev. Benton Moore officiating. Donald Wood will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Mr. Cooksey was born in Holmes County, Ms to the union of Thomas Monroe and Delia Perry Cooksey and died Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. He was a retired instrument control specialist with Texas Gas Transmisson and a member of the Philadelphia Church of God. He was preceded in death by his wife: Addie Inez Cooksey. Survivors include his son: Jeff Cooksey of Monroe, his daughters: Patricia Diane Frasier, Betty Jo Parker and Sharon Dulaney all of Grayson, his brother: Perry Cooksey of Memphis, Tn., his sisters: Vada England of Olive Branch, Ms. and Mary Alice McMurray of Philadelphia, Ms., five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Gordon Frasier, James Parker, Harold Dulaney, Kevin Barnhill, Marshall Frasier and Wesley Barnhill. Ethan Dulaney will be honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m.until time of services at Riser Funeral Home, 7131 Hwy 165, Columbia.
