LEO GREGORY Riser Funeral Home Columbia, Louisiana Services for J. Leo Gregory, 83, of Columbia will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday May 23, 2005 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Jay Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Mr. Gregory was born in Columbia on January 27, 1922 to the union of Sebron and Onie Railey Gregory and died Friday, May 20, 2005 at the North Monroe Medical Center in Monroe. He was a retired welder with the Welder's and Steamfitter's Local Union #659. He attended La. Tech University in Ruston. He also attended Grayson Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Columbia Masonic Lodge #164. Survivors include his wife, Ezelle Caskey Gregory of Columbia, his son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Sherry Gregory of Columbia, his step-son, James Roy Mixon and his wife, Margaret of Jena, his daughters and sons-in-law, Gale and Cagle Thomas of Vidalia and Lesa and John McKeithen of Grayson, his step-daughter, Anita Pierce of Natchitoches, his brother, Garland Gregory of Ruston, his sister, Claudine Risdel of West Monroe, his grandchildren, Bryan Lowery, Jessie Lowery, Chad Gregory, Cree Gregory, Danielle Gregory, Ryan Thomas, Will Thomas, Diane McKeithen and Jeff McKeithen, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Daniel Leo Gregory, his brothers, Harmon Gregory, Bink Gregory, and S.A. Gregory and his sisters, Beatrice Miller and Bernice McClanahan. Pallbearers will be James Roy Mixon, Ricky Ratcliff, Cagle Thomas, John McKeithen, Ryan Thomas and Will Thomas. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Monday from 8:00 AM until time of services at Riser Funeral Home, 7131 Hwy 165, Columbia. Originally published May 21, 2005
