The Caldwell Watchman, Columbia LA, 21 Aug 1991 (Wednesday)
COLUMBIA — Services for Alfra D. Hamilton, 88, Columbia, were held at 11 a.m., 
Wednesday, August 14, 1991 at Columbia Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Julius 
Russell and Dr. W.M. Causey officiating. Burial will be in Columbia Hill 
Cemetery under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home Inc. of Columbia. Mrs. 
Hamilton died Monday, August 12, at Citizens Medical Center in Columbia after 
a brief illness.  Mrs. Hamilton was a charter member of the Columbia Heights 
Baptist Church, where she served as church secretary for a number of years.  
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leland Hamilton; her brother, Leonard 
Clark; her sister, Vena Wallace; and a grandchild, Gary Leo May.  Survivors 
include her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Leo May of Columbia; grandsons 
and their wives, Clint and Pam May, and Steven and Angie May, all of Columbia; 
grand-daughters and their husbands, Carol and Rick Greer of Bastrop and Linda 
and Gaylon Head of Columbia; 8 great grandchildren.  Pallbearers were Don 
Davis, Ed Parmer, Dennis Parmer, Woodrow May, Gene Dupre and M.D. Feltenberger.

Additional Comments:
Mrs. Hamilton's husband, Lelon Martin HAMILTON died 16 July 1944. They are 
buried together.
