Tom Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery west of Columbia. Mr. Honeycutt, the son of the late John Henry & Katie Estes Honeycutt, was born in Vernon on March 15, 1913 and died Monday, May 13, 1996 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. He was a retired fireman with the Louisiana Forestry Commission and a member of the Old Union Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Mary Willis Honeycutt of Grayson; two sons, Dewey Honeycutt and Benny Willis, both of Grayson; two daughters, Lynn May and Bessie Herring, both of West Monroe; one sister, Willie Alger of Grayson; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mark Joiner, Jimmy Chapman, Jimmy Dulaney, Ron Herring, Shelton Moore and James Troquille. Visitation will be until time of services at the funeral home.
