All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Obituary of Hiram Hendrix The Caldwell Watchman-Progress, September 4, 1975 Funeral services for Hiram Hendrix, 48, of Kelly, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Olla Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Elmer Douglas and the Rev. David Barkley officiating. Burial was in the Adams Cemetery west of here under the direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Mr. Hendrix died Friday morning in the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Alexandria after a lengthy illness. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bobbye Mae Hendrix of Kelly, one daughter, Miss Rhonda Hendrix, of Kelly, three sons, Dale Hendrix of Lafayette, Glenn Hendrix, Tommy Hendrix, both of Kelly, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Hendrix of Kelly, two brothers C. P. Hendrix, John Hendrix, both of Kelly, his maternal grandfather, Wiley Tarver of Kelly and one grandson. Pallbearers were Harold Pentecost, Edgar Jeter, Bob Pardue, Tommy Trawick, Lee Roy Nixon, Gaines Hillman, Felton Jeter and Shroeder Roberts.
