Humphreys, 75, of Columbia, were held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia with Brother Claude Crotwell officiating. Burial was at Welcome Home Cemetery. He died Saturday at the Caldwell Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was retired merchant and a member of the Columbia Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Minnie Humphreys of Columbia; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry Hall of Columbia and Mrs. Sandra Tryon of Delhi; one son, Mr. Kenneth Humphreys of West Monroe; three sisters, Mrs. Cecil Head of Sikes, Mrs. Vera Tingle of Grayson, and Mrs. Ada Hudson of West Monroe; eight grandchildren. Pallbearers were Hoot Reitzell, Leon Fisher, Calvin Smith, Max Shores, Tillman Gregory, Billy Ray Hall.
