Benton L. Irby, Jr., 43, of Kelly, LA, died on Sunday, January 16, 2005 
following a long illness.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, R. A. "Bob" Smith 
and Thelma Smith Huffman and Sadie and Ira Irby, Sr.

An avid outdoorsman, a talented musician, a free spirit with a loving 
heart, Ben faced lifes challenges with perseverance and a sense of humor.

He is survived by his parents, Ben and Pat Irby of Olla; his step-grandfather 
Clem Huffman of Winnfield and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends will serve as pallbearers.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 18, 2005 from the 
Columbia Chapel of Riser Funeral Home. Rev. Keith Thomas will officiate. 
Interment will follow in the old Bethel Cemetery at Clarks, LA.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at 
the funeral home, 7131 Hwy 165, Columbia, LA.
