The Caldwell Watchman, Columbia LA, 16 Sep 1998
Mrs. Irene Lacy Johnson was born on February, 22, 1905 in Clay County, 
Alabama.  She passed away on September 9, 1998 in Irving, Texas.  She was 
preceded in death by two sons, Jerre T. Hurst and Bobby S. Hurst and daughter, 
Mrs. Opal Melder.  She is survived by one son, James u. Hurst and one 
daughter, Mrs. Ruth McGowan and numerous grandchildren and great 
grandchildren.  Mrs. Johnson was a lifelong resident of Columbia, Louisiana 
and a member of the Columbia Church of Christ.  Graveside services were held 
September 12, 1998 at Welcome Cemetery in Grayson, La., with Mr. Stan McGowan 
officiating.  She was greatly loved by her family and friends and she will be 
missed by all.


Additional Comments:
Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of James Lee LACY & Dona KENNEDY LACY.  Her 
first husband was William McKinley HURST.
