L. (Leb) Johnson of Columbia passed away at her home in Chicks Addition (Everett Street) on Monday morning at 3 am. Services were held at the Columbia Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev Cline D. Ellis, in charge, assisted by Rev J.D. Kitchingham. Funeral services were held at 3 pm and interment thereafter in the Welcome Home Cemetery, east of Grayson. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, J.L. Johnson; two daughters, Mrs Ethel Hearne of Monroe and Mrs Alma Murrel of Madill, Okla.; and two sons Arthur Johnson, who is teaching school in Houma and Truly H. Johnson of Ruston. She is also survived by two grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs Dottie Simpson of Waskom, Tex., and Mrs Ona Harper of Bloomingfield NJ, and five brothers as follows: Bob May and Dud May, school board member, both residents of Ward 9; Cooley May of Grayson, Elmo May and Johnnie May, both of Ward 5.
