Johnson Funeral services for Boyce A. Johnson were held at 2 p.m, Saturday, March 6, 1993 at the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home in Columbia with Revs. Paul Browning, Rich McPherson and Tom Fitzgerald officiating. Burial followed in the Old Union Cemetery west of Grayson. Johnson, 77, of Grayson died Thursday, March 4, 1993, at the Citizen Medical Center in Columbia. He was a member of the Old Union Baptist Church, a retired operator with Manville Forest Products with 40 years of service and was preceded in death by his son, Teddy Johnson. Survivors include his wife: Mrs. Anna Lou May Johnson of Grayson, his daughter and son-in-law; Lecolian and Harvey Arrant, his son and daughter- in-law R.D. and Gaytha Johnson all of West Monroe, his sister; Mrs. Loya Johnson Berry of Marietta, Ga., his grandchildren: Darrell and Denetta Arrant, Gaye and Ricky Pierce, Tonya and Stuart McAboy, Kristie and Rocky Johnson and Royce Johnson, his great-grandchildren: Adam Arrant, Kristin Pierce, Megan Arrant and Wes Pierce. Pallbearers will be Charles "Hobo" Carter, Larry Rogers, Larry Pittard, Frank Bandy, Mack Calhoun and Ricky Simms. Honorary pallbearers include Sparky Bolton, T. W. Cox, Homer Gray, Waymon May, Garfield Carter, Eugene Spillers, Conrod Hudson, and Arnold Walker.
