Obituary:   Kenneth Scott Girod
February 20, 2003

Services for Kenneth Scott Girod, age 51, of Clarks will be held at 2 p.m.
Thursday, February 20, 2003 at the Christians Sharing Christ Church in
Clarks with Rev. Larry Adkins officiating.  Iley Evans will deliver the 
eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery west of Clarks.
    
Mr. Girod was born in Houston, Texas on September 9, 1951 to the union
of Bill and Emma Jean Barnette Girod and died Sunday, February 16, 2003
at his residence in Clarks.
   
He was a motor mechanic with Global Marine Oil Company and was a 
veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the Army.
    
Survivors include his sons: J.P.Girod of Italy and Brooke Girod of 
Winnfield, his parents: Bill and Emma Jean Girod of Clarks, his brothers: 
David Girod
of Cape Girardiau, Mo., Paul Girod of Kelly, Guy Girod of Columbia and 
Severan Girod of Clarks, his sisters: D'wan Girod  and Jeannine McDonald 
both of Clarks and Kim Girod of Brookhaven, Ms. and several neices and 
nephews.
    
Pallbearers will be Iley Evans, Steve Doffitt, Matt Doffitt, Dan Wallace, 
Devin Girod and Brandon Girod.
    
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Haynes and James Girod.
   
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Thursday from
9 a.m. until time of services at Christians Sharing Christ Church in 
Clarks.
