Jay Morgan officiating. Chaplain Sam Hubbard will deliver the euology. Interment will follow in the Rosefield Cemetery. Mr. Vaught was born in Liberty, Texas to union of Leo Edward and Margie Calhoun Vaught and died Monday, May 3, 2004 in Homer, La. He was currently warden of the Claiborne Parish Prison and had served as warden of the Caldwell Detention and Caldwell Corrections Centers and also Richwood Prison. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son: Kevin Dale Vaught and his sisters: Fran Vaught and Tammy Vaught. Survivors include his wife: Robin McNeil Vaught of Columbia, his daughters: Melissa Vaught of Violet, Mary Vaught of Lafayette, Alisha Shumaker and Alanna Garcia both of Columbia, his sister: Susan Morgan of Lake Charles and his grandchild: Jordan Tyler of Violet. Pallbearers will be Leroy Holliday, Clovis Tillery, Pat Book, Richard Spinner, Dave Yelverton, Gary Allen, Lamar Johnson and William Savage. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 p.m.until 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until time of services at Riser Funeral Home, 7131 Hwy 165, Columbia.
