Obituary:  Lola Arthurs Wallace
July 24, 2003

Services for Lola Arthurs Wallace, age 90, of Columbia
will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 24, 2003 from the
chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Dr. Ray
Bailey, Minister Jack C. Fry and Mrs. Nola Horne officiating.
Interment will follow in the Columbia Hill Cemetery.
    
Mrs. Wallace was born in Olla on November 21, 1912 
to the union of Jack and Joanna Franklin Arthurs and died
Monday, July 21, 2003 at the Citizens Medical Center in
Columbia after an extended illness.
    
She was a homemaker and a longtime resident of Caldwell 
Parish.  She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist 
Church of Monroe/West Monroe.  
    
She was preceded in death by her husband: Bill Wallace
and her granddaughter: Daina Griffin.
    
Survivors include her sons: Billy Wallace and Donald
Wallace both of Columbia, her daughters: Betty Jo Griffin
of Royal, Ar., Jean Isbell of Natchez, Ms., Doris Holloway
of Orlando, Fl. and Barbara Ann Wallace of Monroe, eight
grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
    
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons:
Richard Hudson, Donald Wayne Wallace, Dan Wallace, Jim
Wallace, Bob Wallace and Chad Wallace.
    
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and
Thursday from 8 a.m. until time of services at Riser Funeral
Home, 7131 Hwy 165, Columbia.
