B. May, representative of Caldwell Parish, died on Monday, March 13, at 7 pm in a sanitarium in Monroe. Funeral services were conducted at the Southern Methodist Church by Rev. R. F. Harrell, pastor, assisted by Rev. J. D. Kitchin, the pastor of the Columbia Heights Church, and Rev. Henley of the Methodist Church of Jonesboro. Mrs. May was born at Sewanee, Tennessee, and was a graduate of Terrell College. She became affiliated with the church in her girlhood and was always an active member. At the time of her death, she was a life long member of the Methodist missionary society, having served as president of that society for several years. She was also president of the Columbia P.T.A. and will be missed greatly by this organization. Mrs. May came to Louisiana in January 1908, at the time of her marriage and since then had been a resident of Columbia. She is survived by her husband, two sons, William Lawrence and Joe Myers; two daughters, Misses Irby Lea, and Cecile Dale; a mother, Mrs. W. L. Myers, four brothers, Oscar, Evert, Cecil and Theron Myers, one sisters, Mrs. A. A. Meredith of Jonesboro. Interment was made in the Columbia Cemetery, Tuesday afternoon.
