May, 91, of Monroe, will be at 10 a.m. today at Mulhearn Funeral Home on St. John Street in Monroe with the Revs. Otis Ray Hope and Lea Joyner officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Springs Cemetery in Caldwell Parish. Mrs. May died Thursday at Monroe Manor Nursing Home after a short illness. Mrs. May was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was a long time resident of Grayson. Survivors include four sons, Lawrence May of San Francisco, Bernard May of Monroe, Mitchell May of Haughton and Col. Billy Wayne May of Pennsylvania; and three daughters, Christine Griffith of Monroe, Mozelle Rasberry of Alexandria and Lena Webb of Shreveport; two brothers, Oscar Kirkland of Ruston and Carey Kirkland of West Monroe. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Additional Comments: Nola was married to Joseph Cooley MAY. She was the daughter of Elijah Monroe KIRKLAND and Emaline C.
