The Caldwell Watchman-Progress, Columbia LA, 10 Oct 1979 (Wed)
Sevices for Mrs. Irene May were held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Riser and Son 
Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Pat Morris and Larry Adkins officiating.  
Burial followed in the Old Hebron Cemetery near Grayson.  Mrs. May died Friday 
at the E.A. Conway Memorial Hospital in Monroe after a lengthy illness.  
Survivors include 3 sons, Mr. Waylon May of Grayson, Mr. Mervin "Buck" May of 
Eros, and Mr. Crafton May of West Monroe; 3 daughters, Mrs. Doris Aulds of 
West Monroe, Mrs. Mavis Weeks of Bastrop, and Mrs. Mardell Floyd of Monroe; 3 
brothers, Mr. Brums Martin of West Monroe, Mr. George Martin of Florida, and 
Mr. Sidney Martin of Monroe; 3 sisters, Mrs. Minnie Meredith of West Monroe, 
Mrs. Obie Watson of Baton Rouge and Mrs. Mary Lou Coates of West Monroe; 15 
grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren. Grandsons served as Pallbearers.
