May, age 60, of Grayson were held at 3:30 PM Thursday, Nov. 19 at Riser and Son Chapel in Columbia with Rev. Paul Browning and Rev. Arlie Bratton officiating. Burial was held in Hickory Springs Cemetery in Grayson under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Mr. May died on Tuesday, Nov. 17, of an apparent heart attack while hunting. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Fay Barnett May of Grayson; one son, George Algia May of Grayson; four daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Warren, Miss Cindy May, both of Grayson, Mrs. Sherry Coates of Columbia and Mrs. Martha McGuffee of Fort Drum, New York; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Mooney of Shreveport, La., Mrs. Ethel Wells, Mrs. Gertrude West and Mrs. Lorene Bell, all of Grayson; and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jimmy Warren, Russell Coates, Dion McGuffee, Russell McDonald, Mike Pitts, William Wheat, Shep Moore and Gary Martin.
