Bruce McGee officiating. Bro. Rick Richmond will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Columbia Hill Cemetery. Mrs. May was born on August 16, 1930 in Columbia to the union of Lelon and Alfra Clark Hamilton and died Saturday, November 20, 2004 at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of the Columbia Heights Baptist Church. Betty was a beautiful little lady. A loving, patient, caring wife, mother and grandmother, she was a lady of great dignity and respect. She will be missed and remembered dearly as the special person she was. We love you, Mamaw. Survivors include her husband of 56 years: Leo May of Columbia, her sons and daughters-in-law: Clint and Pam May of Columbia, Steve and Shannon May of Columbia, her daughters and sons-in-law: Carol and Rick Greer of Greenville, Ms., Linda and Gaylon Head of Columbia, her half-sister: Elizabeth Brean of California, and her grandchildren: Jessica Head, Brittney May, Dusting May, Kevin Greer, Kathleen Greer, Daniel May, Adam May, Jacob May and Taylor May. Pallbearers will be Rick Richmond, Craig May, Glenn Boudeaux, Benny Douglass, Rick Duckett, Terry Gore, Glenn Gilmore and Garland Grant. Honorary pallbearers are Archie Darden, Arvil Harris, Gene Dupree, Ruben Lane, Robert Bennett, James Cook, Mitchell Antley and Huey Stone. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Monday from 9:00 AM until noon at Riser Funeral Home, 7131 Hwy 165, Columbia.
