He was born August 3, 1908 in Jackson Parish to the union of Benjamin Wesley and Lizzie Jordan May. He was a retired timber cutter. Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22 from the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia with Rev. Thomas Parker offficiating. Interment followed in the Hickory Springs Cemetery west of Columbia under direction of Riser and Son, Columbia. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Brown May of Clarks; two daughters, Charlene M. Nation of Columbia and Ruth May of Clarks; two brothers, Garland May and Herbert May, both of Clarks; one sister, Zelma Baker of Goldonna; and one grandchild.
