B. May, 61, State Representative From Caldwell Parish is Dead Monroe, La., June 21 (AP) -- Dr. I. B. May, 61, of Columbia, state representative from Caldwell Parish and a practicing physician, died in a Monroe hospital late today as a result of injuries received Tuesday night in an automobile accident near Riverton. While he was enroute to make a call on a patient, Dr. May's car collided with a mule on the highway and the machine overturned. The physican received injuries on the head and although an x-ray examination failed to disclose a fracture of the skull, he never fully recovered consciousness. Dr. May is widely known throughout this section and had gained state-wide notice through his activities in the legislature, to which he was elected in 1932. He served for a number of years as coroner of Caldwell Parish. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. at the Methodist church at Columbia.
