Pleasant resident died Saturday morning in Baton Rouge after a long illness. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jimmie Bolton, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Columbia, and Rev. LaVell A. Crain of Ward 6, in charge. Burial was made in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Survivors include one brother, Wilbur Lee May, who is at present a candidate for Sheriff of Caldwell Parish; and one sister, Mrs. Lois May Sims of Texarkana, Tex. Pallbearers were Homer S.
