Obituary:  Ruby Lee Norris May

Services for Ruby Norris May, age 81 of Clarks will be held
at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 18, 2004 from the chapel of
Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Larry Adkins officating.  
Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery east of Grayson.

Mrs. May was born on September 10, 1923 in Floala, Alabama
to the union of William Daniel and Lessie Norris and died Wednesday, 
September 15, 2004 at her residence after a brief illness.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Christians Sharing 
Christ Church in Clarks.   She was preceded in death by
her parents and her brothers: Gerald Norris.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years: Garland May,
her son: Joe May both of Clarks, her sister: Ruth Creech of Floala, 
Al., her brothers: Edward Norris and his wife: Faye of Nauvoo, Al., 
Tommy Norris and his wife: Carolyn of Nauvoo, Al., 
Dewayne Norris of Kinston, Al., Quitman Norris and his wife:
Ann of Gaston, Fl., James Norris, Randall Norris and D.J. Norris, 
Jr. all of Gaston, Fl. and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Skipper Carter, Harold May, Ronnie May,
Bobby Jack Hall, Billy Ray Hall and Jerry May.

Visitation will be Friday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Saturday
from 8 a.m. until time of services.
