Obituary of Mary Frances McDaniel
Monroe Morning World, 1935

Funeral services for Mrs. M. F. Varner McDaniel, 68, of Columbia were held at 
the Kelly Methodist Church in Kelly, La.  Burial was in the McDaniel Cemetery 
near Kelly.  Pastor of the Columbia Methodist Church, Pastor Morris, 
officiated. Rev. Hearn, Kelly Methodist Church, and Rev. Kitchingham, Kelly 
Baptist Church also officiated.  Pallbearers:  J. B. Adams, Dr. Thomas Burk, 
George Erskine of Columbia, & Claude Hargrove, W.P. Bush and Otho Reitzell of 
Kelly.

Survivors: Children: W.E. McDaniel, Mrs. L. L. (Bertha) Starling, Mrs. Fred 
(Eva) Gibson, of Kelly, Miss Belle McDaniel, Columbia and Louis McDaniel of 
Winnsboro. 15 grandchildren

Additional Comments:
She suffered a fractured his March 28 after slipping and falling outside at her 
home.  She died in a Monroe Hospital. (The paper reads sanitarium)
