Don Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery west of Columbia. Mary Faye was born on October 14, 1949 in Columbia to the union of Thomas M. and Geneva Ray Watts and died Monday, December 8, 2003 at Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. Mary Faye was a very special person her entire life, not only in her needs, but in her heart and soul. She was born with Down's Syndrome, a condition that had many other health issues associated with it. A child from beginning to end, Mary Faye lived a full life until very rec- ently. She attended the Columbia State School until a few years ago and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Columbia. She also loved country music, with Dolly Parton and Vince Gill being her favorites. Her music gave her laughter, comfort and well being throughout her life. God granted this blessing, Mary Faye, to our family. She has been an inspiration to us all, without even being aware of it. She has shown us how to have courage during times of despair. She showed us how to be thankful for the many day to day activities that are often taken for granted. She has surely exemplified unconditional love throughout her life, and thereby teaching us to do the same within our own families. We, the family of Mary Faye, have been very fortunate and blessed to have had her in our lives for fifty-four years. She leaves to celebrate her life on this earth and cherish the memories she left behind, her mother: Geneva Ray Watts, her sister and brother- in-law: Carolyn and Jimmy Duff, her nephew, James Brian Duff, her neice, Shelia Duff Howard and her husband, Keith with their children, Jensen Taylor and Walker Kade Howard. Also many other extended family members and friends. Pallbearers will be Jamie Duff, Charles Duff, Frank McCormack, Tommy Ellerbe, Tye Ellerbe and Colby Ellerbe. We would like to extend our appreciation to Dr. Schroff, and the staff of Citizens Medical Center for their tireless effort in taking care of Mary Faye, as well as United Health Care and Family Care. These people have been a God-send to our family and Mary Faye.
