Grayson -- Services for R.J. "Bob" Newsom, 83, will be at 3 p.m. today in 
Riser & Son Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. E.D. Dearman and Lavelle Crain 
officiating. Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery near Kelly. Mr. Newsom died 
Saturday in Marion Nursing Home after a long illness.  Survivors include his 
wife, Mrs. Fannie Newsom of Farmerville; four sons, Howard Newsom of 
Farmerville, Arvel Newsom of Ruston, Robert Newsom of Richardson, Texas, and 
Burgess Newsom of Prattville, Ala.; a daughter, Mrs. Alene Brown of Monroe, a 
brother, Hence Newsom of Kelly; a sister, Mrs. Frances Henton of Kelly; 19 
grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons.


Additional Comments:
Bob was the son of Frances M. "Frank" NEWSOM and Amanda Elizabeth BRATTON. He 
married Fannie MAY on 16 Jan 1916 in Caldwell Parish LA.
