Winn Parish Enterprise
Albert J. Newsom buried at Sikes Monday November 30.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday for Albert J. Newsom, 65, who 
died at his home near Sikes after a length illness.

The rites were held in the Shady Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. R. F. 
Cassell and the Rev. Kenneth Wall officiating.  Burial was in the Sikes 
Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Surviors are his widow; two sons, Laurie James Newsom of Sikes, and Carl Newsom 
of Olla; one daughter, Mrs. M. J. Richardson of Baton Rouge; three brothers, 
Hugh and Robert Newsom of Grayson, and Henderson Newsom of Kelly; and a sister 
Mrs. R. F. Hinton of Kelly; and five grandchildren.
