Bertha Mae Newsom - Olla, La
  Service for Mrs. Bertha Mae Newsom, 82, of Olla, LA., will be held Sunday, 
Feb. 19, at 2 p.m. in Southern Funeral Home Chapel, in Winnfield.  The Rev. 
Doris Dearman and Laymon LaCour will officiate.  Burial will be in the Sikes 
Cemetery. 
  Mrs. Newsom, a native of Sikes, died at 10:15 p.m., Friday night in the 
Guest House Nursing Home in Shreveport.  She was a homemaker and member of the 
Shady Grove Baptist Church near Sikes.
  She is survived by one son, Laurie J. Newsom of Sikes; one daughter, Mrs. 
Vauna Dean Richardson of Shreveport, five grandchildren and four great 
grandchildren.
  Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. today until service time at the funeral 
home.
