All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Obituary of Melvin Pauley Funeral services for Melvin Pauley, 55, of 210 Vine Street, West Monroe, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Monroe with the Revs. Sam Garsee and Fred Foster officiating. Burial was in the Old Bethel Cemetery in Clarks. Mr. Pauley died Monday morning at E. A. Conway Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a retired service attendant, and a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Sterlington. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ruby Pauley; three sons, Michael Pauley, Gary Pauley, Randy Pauley; three stepsons, Clinton Loflin, Gary Loflin and Danny Ray Loflin; one daughter, Mudy Pauley; and one step-daughter, Cathy Loflin, all of West Monroe; six brothers, Elmer Pauley of Springhill, Clyde Pauley, Frank Pauley, and Henry Pauley, all of Clarks, G. W. Pauley and Arthur Pauley, both of West Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Cecil Williamson of West Monroe, and Mrs. Ethel Mae McClary of Springhill; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were J. T. Waldrop, Darnell Waldrop, Snyder Bishop, Johnny Pauley, Elbert Pauley, and Elvin Evans.
