                  John H. ( Buddy ) Paul
                     1910 - 1997
      John H. ( Buddy ) Paul Jr., 87 of Columbia, died Monday, November10, 1997,
    at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia Heights.
       A retired farmer, he was born June 10, 1910, to the union of John Howard
    and Annie Laura Maier Paul.
        Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, at the chapel of 
     Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Bobby Cruse officiating.
         Interment followed in the Fellowship Cemetery west of Columbia under
     direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia.
          Survivors include four sisters, Annie Mae Jones, Mildred Paul, 
      Margaret Paul, Gladys C. Lowery, all of Columbia; Neices, Betty Jones
      Jewell, Louise Lowery Puckett, nephews, Tony Paul, Timothy Paul, Oliver
      Lowery, Raymon Lowery, Wayne Lowery, James Lowery.
           Pallbearers were Walter Speegle, Johnny Brown, James Howell,
       Henry Volentine, Robert Bennett, Gerald Childress.
