Puckett, 74, died after a lingering illness in the home of his daughter, in Columbia late Tuesday. The funeral was held in the Hebert Church of God, Wednesday at 3 p. m., with Rev. J. C. Grubbs officiating. Interment was in the Hebert Cemetery, in charge of the Riser Funeral Home. Mr. Puckett was born Sept. 13, 1877 in Claiborne parish. He was married to Miss Margaret Hebert at Hebert in 1907, and resided in that town until his wife died nine years ago. Later he was married to Mrs. Luella Dawson and they made their home in circle Drive, West Monroe until the time of her death last April 25. He then went to live with his daughter, Mrs. Ruth Dollar, in Columbia. He is survived by two sons, Eugene Puckett, Hebert; and Allen Puckett, Houston, Tex; seven daughters, Mrs. L. McGehee, Collinsville, Tex.; Mrs. Myrtle Mott, Hebert; Mrs. Ruth Dollar, Columbia; Mrs. Audra McDonald, Stephens, Ark.; Mrs. Margie Douglas, West Monroe, Mrs. A. Worsham, West Monroe, and Mrs. Evelyn Russell, West Monroe; 17 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews besides one brother and two sisters.
