Jack McKeithen and Rev. Chuck Stapleton officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Mr. Ratcliff was born in Grady, Arkansas on May 9, 1927 to the union of Cary and Lois Reeves Ratcliff and died Thursday, October 28, 2004 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. He was currently employed as a corrections officer with the Caldwell Correctional Center in Clarks. He was also a retired bridge tender with the La. Dept. of Transportation and Development with thirty-two years of service. Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years: Johnnie Dortlone Ratcliff of Clarks, his son and daughter-in-law: Ricky and Rhonda Ratcliff, his daughter and son-in-law: Pam and Ricky Gayle all of Grayson, his grandchildren: Chris Thornton of Clarks, Shasta Frazier, Kellie Evans and Savannah Ratcliff all of Grayson, his great-grandchildren: Triston Evans, Courtnie Frazier and Drew Frazier, his brother: Jimmie Ratcliff of Clarks and his sister: Linda Stapleton of Clarks. Pallbearers will be Ray Buckley, Thurman May, Jim Bill Allen, Joe Clark, Cleve Evans, Skipper Carter, Wyman Winter and Glenn Ray Gilmore. Honorary pallbearers are Sheriff Steve May, Bob Pardue, J.D. McLain, Calvin Wyant, Enoch Poole, Don Gregory and employees of the Caldwell Parish Sheriff's Department and employees of the Caldwell Correctional Maintenance Shop.
