Mark Fenn officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Mrs. Roark was born on May 17, 1939 in Columbia to the union of Walter and Mildred Faulks James and died Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at the Cornerstone Hospital in West Monroe. She was a retired schoolteacher having taught at Raceland Junior High in Raceland and Caldwell Parish High School in Columbia. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Billy Ray Roark, her brothers: Jack James and Donnie James and her sister: Ann James Darden. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Wendy Carlynn & Dwight Gilley of Baton Rouge, Her son and daughter-in-law Joseph Hammons & Lori Watkins Ware, Jr. of West Monroe, and Allison Rhea Roark of Memphis, TN, her step- daughter: Angela Denise Green of Gautier, MS and her grandchildren: James Luther Gilley, Katherine Rose Gilley, Hannah Kate Ware, Mallori Fay Ware and Joseph Hammons Ware, III. Pallbearers are Dino Darden, Johnny Darden, Butch Darden, Donnie James, James Gilley and Dwight Gilley Honorary pallbearers include John Dowling. Visitation will be Thursday, December 9, 2004 from noon until time of services at Riser Funeral Home, 7131 Hwy 165, Columbia. Any planned memorials may be made to the La. Baptist Children’s Home in Monroe.
