D. Roberts of Jena, who passed away from a cerrebral hemorrhage Tuesday night around 9 o'clock. The former Miss Imo Delcoure, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Delcoure and a sister of Millard Delcoure of Grayson. She was born and reared in Clarks, where her parents for years operated a boarding house known as the Blue Goose. She was a graduate of the Clarks High School. She was 40 years old. Funeral services were held at 4 p. m. at the Old Bethel Baptist church and interment was made in the nearby cemetery. Her death came as a distinct surprise according to reports. It is stated that on the morning of her death she had attended the funeral of a relative who was the daughter of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Christine Roberts Taylor, a former resident of Kelly. On the way back she had complained of a slight pain in the back of her head and neck. That night she became ill died shortly afterwards. She is survived by her husband, J. D. Roberts, a former Kelly boy who owns and operates the Ford agency at Jena, and two children, Charles David and Larr Don. She is also survived by two brothers, Millard (Bill) Delcoure of Grayson and Houston Delcoure of California; and three sisters: Mrs. Farrell Nowlin of California, Mrs. Crawf Black of Bastrop and Mrs. Ivy Williams of Glenmora.
