Starnes, Aged Caldwell Man Is Buried A.F. Starnes, 94, died at Sikes Thursday following a long illness. He was a retired farmer and native of Winn Parish. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Hebron Baptist Church with the Rev. Lavelle Crain officiating. Interment followed in the dams Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Survivors include his widow; five sons, Alfred Starnes of Columbia, Ed Starnes of Winnfield, Vernon Starnes of Grayson, and Clay and Clayton Starnes, both of Sikes; two daughters, Mrs. J. H. Newsom of Kelly and Mrs. J. J. Jones of Bentley; 20 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
