All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Obituary of Cicero Sears The Caldwell Watchman, April 19, 1973 Graveside services were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday for Manuel Cicero Sears, 83, of Route 6, Box 121-H, West Monroe. The Rev. Tom Cooper was in charge at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson where interment was made. Arrangements were under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Monroe. Mr. Sears died early Wednesday at Monroe Manor Nursing Home after a long illness. Survivors include two sons, David Sears of West Monroe and Jesse Sears of Houston, Texas; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Sears was a lifelong resident of Caldwell Parish where he resided in the community east of Grayson. He was familiar seen riding a bicycle to and from town. For a short time he resided at the Haven and later moved to Monroe.
