Headline: Final Rites For W. Z. Thomas Held Saturday
Funeral services for William Z. Thomas, 81, of Grayson, were held at 11 a.m. 
Saturday in the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia, with the 
Rev. Jimmy Bolton, pastor of the First Baptist Church, in charge.  Mr. Thomas 
died Thursday evening in a Shreveport hospital after a short illness.  Burial 
was made in the Welcome Home Cemetery, east of Grayson on the Holum road, 
under direction of Riser and Son.  Survivors include two daughters: Mrs. 
Robert E. Vincent, Jr. of McGee, Ark., and Mrs. Sherman Fisher of Shreveport; 
two sons: Bowen Thomas of Grayson and Stanley Thomas of New Orleans; and six 
grandchildren.  Pallbearers were Leroy Mixon, Ben Williams, J. M. Duplissey, 
B. Morris and Monroe Singleton.
