Shane Duke officiating. Iley Evans will deliver the euology. Interment will follow in the Adams Cemetery west of Kelly. Mr. Hendrix was born in Columbia on September 8, 1959 and died Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at Citizens Medical Center in Columbia from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was employed by Mullin Wood Company. He was an avid truck driver for 27 years. He was preceded in death by his son: Brandon Taylor and his father: Elijah Hiram Hendrix. Tommy was a loving son, husband, father and a very protective brother. He loved all his family and many friends. Survivors include his loving wife: Laurel Russell Hendrix, his sons: T.G. Hendrix, and Jon Cader and his wife, Misti, his daughters: Presley Hendrix, Kaci Wilks all of Columbia and Carol Ann May of Grayson, his mother: Bobbye Mae Powell Hendrix of Kelly, his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Terry and Ann Shields of Calhoun, his brothers: Elijah Dale Hendrix and his fiancee', Shelia Hyde of Hebert, Edmon Glenn "Gunny" Hendrix and his fiancee', Carla Reitzell of Columbia, his sister: Rhonda Ratcliff and her husband, Ricky of Grayson, his brother-in-law: Larry Hamilton, his grandchildren: Anna Hunt and Jon Michael Cader and his very special friends: Harry and Sabrina Swedlund of Columbia. Pallbearers will be Ricky Ratcliff, Harry Swedlund, Jackie Brown, Bobby Pardue, Dewayne "Heckle" Holt, Eddy Parker, Johnny Meredith, Babo Malcomb and Bo Russell. Honorary pallbearers are Duey "Tush Hog" Baum, Bob Pardue, Buster Mullin, Robert Cubbit, Greg "Yankee" McCarthy, Buster Martin, Julian "Rat' Ratcliff, Robbie Jose' and John Hendrix. Visitation will be at Old Bethel Baptist Church, Clarks, La.
