Larry Adkins and Rev. Paul Browning officiating. Interment will follow in the Hickory Springs Cemetery, west of Columbia. Mr. Warren was born on November 26, 1938 in Lobelville, TN to the union of Donald Clifford and Edna Bates Warren and died Monday, April 29, 2002 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was a forestry specialist with the Louisiana Department of Agriculture. He was also a member of the Christians Sharing Christ Church in Clarks. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a very dedicated employee, a loving husband, a wonderful father and a special friend to everyone he met. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Gerald "Pooley" Warren, his sister, Katherine Triplett and his special father-in-law, George E. May. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Marilyn May Warren, his daughters, Debra Kay Warren, Melissa Sheree Warren, and Sara Lynn Warren, his son, Tyler Kyle Warren, all of Columbia, a future granddaughter, his brother, Donald Gene Warren of Lobelville, TN, his sisters, Bettie Little of New Johnsonville, TN, and Virginia Urban of Toledo, OH and a host of extended family and friends. Pallbearers will be Anders Thompson, Russell Posey, Don Smith, Elbert Sanson, Roy McMullen, Craig Honeycutt, Wesley Burch, and Ricky Ratcliff. Honorary palbearers will be Bill Taylor, Tommy Hendrix, Ronald Carr, Robert Lamb, Angela Dickson, Dewey Honeycutt, George Algia May, and Earl Bell. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 AM until time of services at the church.
