Don Smith, Rev. Tommy Basco and Rev. Jason Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in the Columbia Hill Cemetery in Columbia. Mrs. Whitlock was born in Ward 5 of Caldwell Parish on November 24, 1916 to the union of Berry Lee and Belle Meredith Fisher and died Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia after a brief illness. She was a retired billing clerk with Caldwell Memorial Hospital for 32 years. She was very proud to be associated with Dr. E.L.Carroll, Sr., Dr. Harry Winters, Dr. Linus Carroll and Dr. Terry Thompson. Aunt Ethel was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Columbia since 1927. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Joye F. Whitlock, her brothers: Archie Fisher and his wife: Hazel Honeycutt Fisher, Elphin Fisher and his wife: Katherine Barrett Fisher, B.L. Fisher, Jr and his wife: Mildred Lee Fisher, her sisters: Flora Belle Marks and her husbands: Ernest Cottingham and J. Herman Marks and Irbie June Meredith and her husband: Paul, and brother-in-law: Vernon Brensing. Survivors include her son: James Frankie Whitlock of Shreveport, her sisters: Bertha Mae Worley and her husband: Bill of Whitehouse, TX, Lola Brensing of Penacola, FL and Onnie Pinion of Avinger, TX. Aunt Ethel was loved and cherished by her special nephew: Ricky Smith of Columbia as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Aunt Ethel to the Youth Fund of First Baptist Church, Columbia, La.
