Obituary:   Willard E. Russell
March 23, 2003

Services for Willard E. Russell, age 85, of Kelly will be held at 2 p.m., 
Sunday, March 23, 2003 from the Columbia Heights Baptist Church in
Columbia with Rev. Bruce McGee and Rev. John "Bud" Traylor officiating. 
Interment will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery west of Clarks.
    
Mr. Russell was born in Tullos, La. on August 26, 1917 to the union
of Kirby S. and Emma Bass Russell and died Friday, March 21, 2003
at the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe.
    
He was retired with 30 years service with Hunt Oil Company.  He was
also a member and deacon at Columbia Heights Baptist Church.
   
He was preceded in death by his parents. his daughter: Lenora Jane
Snelling, his brother: K.R. Russell and his sister: Lillie R. McDonald.
    
Survivors include his wife of 65 years: Earline Henderson Russell of
Kelly, his daughters: Linda R. Griffin of Monroe and Lane McWilliams
of Lake Providence, his brother: Ezra Russell of Kelly, six grandchildren,
ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
    
Pallbearers will be Johnny Hemphill, Dustin McWilliams, Kevin M.
Griffin, Russell D. Griffin, Robin Tyson and Jerry Griffin.
    
Visitation will be Sunday from 8 a.m. until noon at Riser Funeral Home,
7131 Hwy 165,  and from 1 p.m. until time of services at the church.
