All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Obituary: Woodrow Wilson Grant June 9, 2004 Services for Woodrow Wilson Grant, age 86, of Columbia will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 9, 2004 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Julius Russell and Rev. Bruce McGee officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Mr. Grant was born on January 14, 1918 in Meeker to the union of William Frank and Florence Roe Grant and died Sunday, June 6, 2004 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. He was a retired inspector with the La. Department of Transportation and Development. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army. He was also a member of the Columbia Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 65 years: Ruby Cooper Grant of Columbia, his sons and daughters-in-law: William Bernard and Otha Grant of Upland, Ca., Arlis and Elizabeth Grant of West Monroe and Garland and Lynn Grant of Hebert, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Marshall Fisher, Max Shores, Jason Maxwell, Rod Walton, Jerry Cooper and Elgin McFadden. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Cooper, Billy Cooper, V.H. Ostteen, James Grant and Jerry Richardson. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m until 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until time of services at Riser Funeral Home, 7131 Hwy 165, Columbia.
