Tingle May 8, 2003 Services for Wilkins W. Tingle, age 82, of Collierville, Tennessee will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 8, 2003 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Mr. Tingle died May 5, 2003 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Collierville. He retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Cotton Division in 1977 where he worked as a supervisor of international cotton standards preparation. He was a graduate of Grayson High School and Louisiana State University. He served in the Air Force from 1943 until 1945 in the Pacific Theater of World War 11. He also served in the Air Force Reserves until 1975. Survivors include his wife: Elva Warner Tingle of Collierville, his sons: Gregg Tingle of Germantown, Tn. and Randy Tingle of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, his granddaughters: Lauren and Lana Tingle of Germantown and Kaelyn Tingle of Cape Girardeau, his grandson: Stratton Tingle of Cape Girardeau, his brother: T.H. Tingle of Holum and his sisters: Vera Bullock and Evelyn Tarver both of Monroe. Visitation will be Thursday, May 8, 2003 from noon until time of services at Riser Funeral Home, 7131 Hwy 165, Columbia, La. The family requests any memorials be sent to Welcome Home Cemetery, in care of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia or to the donor's charity of choice.
